From control to as-built, on one floor.

Sessions taught by the people who run the gear and design the work, demo yards where you can see it run, and the vendors you'd otherwise chase across five trade shows.

Rows of attendees in white chairs listening to a talk on the expo floor

Conference sessions

Field tech, boundary law, reality capture, civil design and construction, and the business of running a firm, in a dedicated session room. Sessions run back to back on the hour, each planned for 1 PDH.

Surveyors in a parking lot watch a mapping drone fly overhead while the pilot holds the controller

Live demo yards

Total stations, scanners and SLAM rigs run indoors beside the booths. GNSS rovers run in an outdoor yard next to the venue, pending venue approval.

An exhibitor explains a handheld laser scanner to a small group of attendees at a busy booth

SurveyCon expo zone

Every SurveyCon exhibitor in one zone. Compare receivers, scanners, machine control and design software in an afternoon instead of a year of sales calls.

STA 7+00

Before you ask.

What is SurveyCon?

SurveyCon, the Surveying & Engineering Conference, is a three-day conference and expo for land surveyors, civil engineers, contractors and geospatial professionals. It takes place at Huntington Place in Detroit, September 9–11, 2027, co-located with the U.S. Global Innovation & Trade Expo.

Will my hours count toward my license?

Every pass includes every PDH session, up to 21 hours, for PS and PE renewals alike. We'll seek course approval in the states that require it, and you'll get a certificate listing the hours you attended. Business-practice sessions don't count in every state, so check your own board's rules.

Does my pass get me into the rest of the expo?

Yes. Both passes include the full expo floor and its sector pavilions. VIP also includes the expo's Opening Night Reception and Networking Dinner and the Yacht Gala Dinner.

When do prices go up?

Early-bird prices run through May 31, 2027. Regular prices apply from June 1 to September 8, and at-the-door prices apply during the show.

Can I bring my whole crew?

Yes. Firms bringing five or more can ask about firm packages, and students and educators can ask about academic rates. Email support@thesurveyconference.com for either.

I sell gear or software, or run an engineering or construction firm. How do I exhibit?

Fill in the exhibitor form and we’ll send the prospectus, floor plan and pricing within two business days. Booths are 10×10 in the SurveyCon zone, between the demo yard and the session room, and each one includes two Standard Conference Passes and first pick of demo yard time. Field Night and demo yard sponsorships are on the same form.

Where should I stay?

A hotel room block near Huntington Place opens with registration. The venue is about 25 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport, and about 10 minutes from Windsor through the tunnel, plus border time.

See you on site.
